Fitness Report #12: Getting Injured Is not Fun!

Hi everyone,

Last week, I exercised in a total amount of time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. This is a record low and you wanna know why? Yours truly decided to be fancy and did kick-boxing. Somewhere along the short 20-minute of kicking, I managed to injure my left knee. This knee, since as long as I could remember, has always given me terrible problems up to a point that I could not walk for weeks. I went to a doctor recently and he told me there's nothing he could do since the injury is cause by an improperly healed fracture on my kneecap. Once in a while, the knee would get hurt and he advised me not to do anything too intense to traumatize it.

And being a good patient, I thought I should try kick-boxing. It looked more intense than Zumba and I wanted to lose more weight. But I forgot one thing: kick-boxing involves twisting from the knees and after 20 minutes, my left knee decided to take a break.

I am still taking a break until today but it's for a different reason: my family is moving again. After what feels like an eternity, the house is finally finished. Currently, we are exhausted but there are things to be done. Everyday, I tire myself out from all the house work and preparation for the big move. All I long for is to get enough sleep so I don't feel like a zombie but that's harder said than done.

Alright guys, I hope you continue exercising despite my predicament. I hope my knee is going to be better soon so I can finish this fitness challenge in stride. After this, I am going to shoot for the stars. I can't tell you what I have in mind yet. Once I'm done with this challenge, I will let you know.
